Throughout 2013, local school children, teachers, community groups, residents, churches and local businesses will be consulted as to the future use of the building, in the context of it being an international creation centre – linking old and new in a vibrant and exciting mix. Focus will be on:

How the physical plans are developing

Raising Awareness & Communication

In addition to the arts and heritage based community engagement projects, awareness of the JOTH project is being raised through the following mechanisms:

Quarterly Updates

A quarterly flier (June, September, December & March),  providing updates will be distributed by Hope Street Limited, BNENC and WECC to community groups, churches, doctors’ surgeries and local residents. It will also be circulated to the FoEP, Everton History Group and at community events, for example Fun Days and the Out of the Blue Music Festival.

Meeting the Neighbours

We have begun to talk to neighbours, visiting their homes and handing them fliers advertising events – for example the Future Stories event and the Quarterly Updates.

Presentations & Forums

Over the last 12 months, visits to a number of forums and events have provided the opportunity to give an update on progress of the JOTH project, led primarily by the Hope Street Limited Director. These have included:

–          Everton History Group

–          Friends of Everton Park

–          North Liverpool Business Forum

–          Liverpool Vision
